Zlata would not be the first Eurovision veterant to launch a political career. Some famous examples are Dana (Ireland 1970) who ran for presidency twice and even won a seat in the European Parliament, Nana Mouskouri (Luxembourg 1963) who was a European Deputy for 5 years in the late 1990’s, and of course Ruslana (Ukraine 2004) who was an active protester during the orange revolution or Maidan protests.
