TIMESOFMALTA.COM REPORTS – Superstar diva Adele took time out during an Amsterdam concert earlier this week to praise Malta for “always doing really good in the Eurovision”. The chance mention happened after the British singer and 10-time Grammy winner began to have a bit of banter with her audience. After asking them “do we have anyone who’s travelled really really far to get here?”, an excited Maltese fan managed to grab her attention. “You’ve come from Malta? You lot always do really good in the Eurovision,” she said, adding that she had loved this year’s Eurovision and its winning song. Adele is currently touring her second album, 25, and she’s got off to a rollicking start. Her single Hello got 27.7 million views within 24 hours of being released and 1.1 million downloads in its first week.
Her previous album, 21, is the biggest selling album of this century, as well as the first album since Michael Jackson’s Thriller to be the best-selling album in the US for two years in a row.
