Who’s representing Serbia in Vienna?
BELGRADE, SERBIA – Names are falling all over press in Serbia. Vladimir Graić and Saša Mirković are already talking with RTS about potential artists. Biggest newspaper in Serbia, Kurir, claims that Marija Šerifović will be one of the three names.
They’ve also reported that Bojana Stamenov will also participate in national final. Bojana shot her glory in Got Talent show, where she finished as runner-up. Because of her vocal skills she is often compared to Aretha Franklin.
Danijel Pavlović was also mentioned. Danijel is Marija’s halfbrother and he participated at Star Academy. He participated in Beovizija five years ago in a duet with his friend from the show. He stated that it would be interesting to see two family members participating at Eurovision.
Adil Maksutović is one of the most famous Roma singers these days. You can not go out in a club in Belgrade and not hear at least on his songs. Adil participated at sevarl local festivals and in 2012. he won Grand Festival with Laku Noć (Good Night).
Last but certainly not the least name is Jelena Karleuša. She is probably the most famous artist in the region. Her songs have millions of views on YouTube and last year she held a concert in front of 40.000 people. Jelena won all the online polls, so she should have be considered.
We now know that RTS is approaching Eurovision this year very seriously, as Duška Vučinić, head of press of Serbian delegation, said that we will probably have the names of potential representatives in next 15 days. Does that also mean that an early selection is going to happen? If so, that is because Saša Mirković’s plan is to visit several national final, so the selected representative is well promoted. Serbia is definitely going for a win in Vienna.
