We had it all and now we might have Kazakstan too!

ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN – The national broadcaster of Kazakhstan is going to be an associated member of the European Broadcasting Union as of January 1st as deeded in the last General Assembly. This means that we have a potential Eurovision Song Contest debut country.
Without mercy we might have the chance to see them also in Stockholm as EBU is always flexible up to the Semi Finals Allocation draw which might lead to the surprise of the 44th country. After all Kazakhstan is trying to get in the EBU and further more to the Eurovision Song Contest since 2008!
If we consider Australian participation a controversy one, imagine what will happen with Kazakhstan entering the contest. A country not only outside Europe but deeply corrupted and without any cultural liaison with the mainstream European audience. Maybe another 12 points for the former CIS countries.
It’s up to the EBU to invite Khabar TV to enter the Stockholm Eurovision Song Contest edition, something which might seem likely at the moment, having in mind that Kazakh delegation followed the Vienna Eurovision Song Contest last May. Personally, I think we will only get an entry to laugh about!
On a Tweet, EBU said to the fans that Kazakhstan is an EBU associated member but not eligible for Eurovision Song Contest. We all know how these end every time though!
