(SCANDIPOP.CO.UK REPORTS) STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – Danny Saucedo was given the honour at the weekend of performing for the King of Sweden, at a special 40 years Jubilee concert to celebrate 40 years of him on the throne. That’s 40 years of the King residing over Sweden – not 40 years of Danny Saucedo residing over pop music. Although that’s only a matter of time we’re sure.
For the occasion, he was tasked with performing his own version of Michael Jackson’s classic ‘Man In The Mirror’. A full orchestra, a gospel choir, more key changes than any of his appearances at Melodifestivalen, and a royal audience. So yeah, it was pretty grand. And our Danny rose to the occasion like a champ.
Also performing at the event were other Scandipop favourites like Sarah Dawn Finer and Malena Ernman. But SVT have blocked anyone outside of Sweden viewing the concert, so we aren’t able to share with you those performances (*sigh* SVT. *sigh*). Thankfully though, Danny’s fans are YouTube savvy. So here you go;
