VIDEO: A GLIMPSE OF THE POSTCARDS
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – Every single year, Eurofans all over Europe pay particular attention to each contest’s decorum: the logo, the theme, the host, the interval acts, the stage, the scoring board presentation and…the postcards of course!
We are just three weeks ahead of Copenhagen’s final, and we had the opportunity to discover 3 of the 37 postcards! To make it simple, this year’s clips are just a colourful mix of what was done in Malmö 2013 (filming of the artists in their home country) and Birmingham 1998 (original design of the country’s flag at the end). The fun part is that every artist was asked to recreate its national colours!
For example the Austrian postcard introduces Conchita in Vienna’s Opera House, the Finnish one features Softengine on an icebreaker ship on the Baltic Sea and the Dutch one was shot on Amsterdam’s canals. The Austrian flag is made of opera dresses, the Finnish one is made of ice and the Dutch one is a tricolour bunch of flowers! So, while waiting for the other 34 postcards to be revealed, you can start a game and guess what the other flags will be made of!
