HUNGARY: BYEALEX AVOIDS BREACH OF RULES
EBU seems to have stopped ByeAlex from breaching the rules. Hungary wanted to surprize everyone by singing parts of their song in Swedish during the Eurovision Song Contest. But EBU did not approve of it. “We came with this idea to late” the guitarist from Hungary, Daniel Kövago says.
ROMANIA: THEY ARE HAPPY WITH THE REHEARSAL (WELL IF THEY SAY SO…)
As in the case of all delegations, the Romanians’ program started with the sound check, together with a professional team from SVT, the Swedish national television. Cezar and Alexandra Toma (backing vocal) tested the sound for the song “It’s My Life” and, altogether with the composer Cristian Faur and the head of delegation Dan Manoliu, discussed with the technical staff all the details and small necessary corrections. After that, Cezar had the first rehearsal and his performance and show determined some of the journalists declare that “we have a winner” – as we later were told – and even bet on Romania’s entry! Cezar, dressed in a black outfit with leather, velour and gemstones, created especially for him by the famous Romanian designer Doina Levintza, entered the scene and proved one more time his vocal incontestable qualities, which formerly had got his fans call him “The Voice”.
