The latest updates in the world of Eurostars
EUROPE – Various news feeds are presented in this post regarding the latest activities of various Eurovision stars. Let’s see what’s happening in the exciting world of Eurostars this week.
In Cyprus, Greek-Cypriots are furious after the announcement of Lara Fabian’s concert on July 9th in Northern Cyprus. Besides the controversy this concert creates (like in the past with artists who apologised and cancelled their performances i.e Jennifer Lopez), Evridi (1992, 1994, 2007 Cyprus entrant) commented the situation saying that although music has no boundaries, some artists are seeking just.. money!
Verka Serduchka (Ukraine) has released a new song titled “Spy Party” for the “Spy” which is recently released. Besides a small participation of Verka in the movie, the soundtrack of the movie is definitely reminding us something of his 2007 participation.
On the southern part of Europe now, Emma Marrone, 2014 Eurovision participant for Italy released a new song titled “Occhi Profondi” (Deep Eyes).
In the meantime Swiss hunk, Sebalter presented his video clip for the song “Shadows” despite the song was released in January.
In Norway, Tor Endresen, Alexander Rybak, and Maria Mittet (formerly known as Maria Haukaas Storeng) team up for the Christmas Tour in … December (yes in some civilised countries they do plan things way ahead). The “Stille Natt, Hellige Natt” (“Silent Night, Holy Night”) tour, is taking place annually since 1987 in various cities of Norway.
French participant in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, Anggun, released a new single titled “A Nos Enfants” (To Our Children) a song part of her album “Toujours Un Ailleurs” (Always Elsehwere) which is due to release later this year. The song is dedicated to the children with the artist stating: “For our children, we must always be happy. In this world of ours, with everything that is unsafe, everything that is bad, as long as nothing happens to our children, all will be well.”
Last but not least Soraya Arnelas (Spain 2009) is not interesting to Eurovision Song Contest according to Fórmula TV. Soaraya has changed a lot since 2009 Eurovision Song Contest and she is highly respected in the showbiz of Spain. Her latest single “You Didn’t Do It” is already making a hit in the country.
