Switzerland 2018 🇨🇭 Head of Delegation reveals the finalists are chosen
SWITZERLAND – SRF is gearing up for Die Entscheidungsshow 2018 edition, the show through which Switzerland will decide its participation entry and artist for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.
Switzerland‘s Head of Delegation Reto Peritz gave an interview to regional fan site and revealed that the six finalists for the national final have been chosen. The choice was made out of 670 submissions in conjunction with a songwriting camp.
The expert jury listened to all submitted entries and evaluated the songs narrowing them to six. Now the expert jury has to match the songs with the singers therefore a lot of demos are recorded.
In mid December the final version of these songs will be ready and most likely in early January we will know the finalists. The final decision was an outcome of a lot of debate to match the right singer with the right song. Switzerland‘s Head of Delegation Reto Peritz expressed his confidence that the right choice are made and hopes for a good (finally) outcome for his country.
The national final will take place on February 4th where the public and the international jury will decide the winner.
