SWITZERLAND 2014: THE ITALIAN ENTRIES
LUGANO, SWITZERLAND – Today Radiotelevisione Svizzera di lingua Italiana, or RSI (the Italian-speaking Swiss broadcaster part of SRG SSR), has eventually chosen the three entries to go forward in the Swiss national selection process.
In Rete 3 studio, in Lugano, a jury of professionals composed of Paolo Meneguzzi (the 2008 Swiss representative), Igor Negrini and Ramona Cerutti met up in order to listen to all 23 bidding songs and have chosen three 3 acts. We can now reveal that the lucky winners are:
Jasmine with “Higher Love”
SeBAlter with “Hunter of Stars”
Valentina with “103 parole” (103 words)
But this is just the first step… On November 30th, an “Expert Check” will take place in Zurich and only one of those three entries will be given the opportunity to represent the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland during the grand final “Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow” to be held once again in Kreuzlingen on February 1st.
Let’s remember that the “Expert Check” will also have to choose 3 songs out of the 9 that will be pre-selected by SRF (the German -speaking broadcaster), and 2 out of the 6 entries selected by RTS (the French-speaking broadcaster).
Copenhagen is still a bit far away, but the Confederation is definitely on the move…
