Samir & Viktor – ”Bada nakna”
The studs are on stage and they are performing half naked. Well that’s the only way for us to forget their bad vocal performance. Pop dance act and powerful choreography on stage by dancers. Blusish stage colours and once again the fantastic camera work.
Pernilla Andersson – ”Mitt guld”
A rock ballad performed by Pernilla on the stage centre with her guitar, a harp player and a drummer while a prop painting is behind her. Smooth ballad quite interesting but somehow I doubt it can do much in Melodifestivalen (not to mention Eurovision 2016). Quality song and great voice as always from Pernilla.
Mimi Werner – ”Ain’t No Good”
One more happy Swedish happy tune which is very nice actually. Mimi is giving a good performance but somehow it reminds me the style of Avicii songs. Somehow a country pop dance act with many men dancing on stage. Interesting tune I would say and definitely I would pay attention on it.
Albin & Mattias – ”Rik”
A Viktor and Samir act again on stage with two cute faces performing this tune which is kinda interesting and wouldn’t mind seeing it qualifying. The two guys seem alone on stage with various abstract shapes of faces and cars depicted in the backdrops. Interesting so far.
Anna Book – ”Himmel för två”
One more dance act which which reminds us the ABBA style in Melodifestivalen entries. Typical schlager and definitely this could be fantastic for the Swedish viewers, it’s a Swedish party song. Nothing special and I wouldn’t like to see Sweden rerun in the old ABBA style recipe for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Robin Bengtsson – ”Constellation Prize”
very very interesting act and even a dark horse for me. Robin and his harmonica present a gimmick and totally brainwashing song. I love to hear it again and the staging is amazing with the led prop in which the singer is performing. The camera work also looks so Eurovision-ready to go and I think we have our first outsider for the is year’s Melodifestivalen.
Ace Wilder – ”Don’t Worry”
Last but not least one of the entire MF 2016 favourites, Ace Wilder. Well we will see no surprise when she qualifies to the final with that song: it’s a catchy pop dance disco song which you will love it no matter what. Indeed a good act and good tune for Melodifestivalen and why not for Eurovision 2016. All we need now is to wait Molly’s entry and see how the battle will go on.
