MADRID, SPAIN – TVE is still keeping quiet on who will be their representative for Eurovision 2014 and flying the Spanish flag, however one name has recently been making the rounds and that is Ruth Lorenzo.
According to Ruth herself she has been approached to represent Spain in Copenhagen and various sources appear to support this information.
On her official Facebook page, Ruth has said – “I’m not gonna lie, yes there have been talks and I repeat what I have always said if the proposal was seriously musical, convincing and consistent with my music project, I’d love to step on that stage and make you feel proud. It would be a big challenge for me. Again, thanks to all for believing in me eurofans, you fill me with life!”
This statement neither confirms that Ruth Lorenzo will represent Spain nor does it reject the notion however choosing Ruth seems a slightly contentious decision.
Having taken part in the UK version of X-Factor in 2008, she has held small concerts in London and Madrid but there is no serious career to support her selection for Eurovision, especially if TVE aim to continue being represented by big national names.
