SPAIN 2014: IS TVE MESSING AROUND?
MADRID, SPAIN – The Frederico Llano-vision saga is gearing up for good. Popular site and the one that predicted Pastora Soler and ESDM for Eurovision in the past two years is now claiming that TVE will announce a national selection for Eurovision.
TVE is looking (according to the source) for a well established artist who will bring TVE high TV rates. Though the potential national selection will not be televised but those interested can submit possible Eurovision entries for an on-line national selection with names like Roser, Raúl (2000 NF), Melody (2009 NF) and María Isabel (Junior Eurovision 2004 winner) to be a part of it!
TVE though has made no public statement and according to Spanish Eurofans this could be a TVE leak just to pick up reactions for a potential change of plans. We are still waiting for January 15th to find out what are the exact plans for the Spanish representation in Eurovision 2014.
Has Ruth Lorenzo plan been skipped? Information from the artist’s record label claim that there is a severe problem between the label and the national broadcaster as the first refuses to cover the entire cost for her Eurovision participation.
It’s only sad to see that a country like Spain is messing so much with Eurovision especially when the fans are eager to support a good entry and a great artist in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and why not, to finally bring the trophy back to the Madrid (or Barcelona). If Ruth Lorenzo finally confirmed then it will be weird why TVE hadn’t made any statement so far as the name is rumoured amongst the various news desks for over two months now.
