PODGORICA, MONTENEGRO – Sergej Ćetković, the Montenegrin representative at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, has organised a concert and taken part in events to help raise money for the victims of the devastating floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sergej held a humanitarian concert on Saturday in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica to an audience of 5.000 people where 4.000 euros was raised to help flood victims.
Furthermore, on Sunday, Sergej took part in a live telethon organised and aired by Serbian broadcaster RTS to raise money for flood victims in Serbia. Over half a million euros was raised as the public called in to chat with various celebrities.
The floods in both Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are the worst natural disaster in the country’s histories with many killed, tens of thousands evacuated, property destroyed and many missing. The recovery process is estimated at over a billion euros.

Sergej Ćetković represented Montenegro in Copenhagen with the song “Moji svijet”. He goes down in history as the country’s first representative to make it to the final where he placed 19th.
