SANNA CHANGES LYRICS DUE TO… GRAMMAR
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – According to many betting odds, Sweden is, once again, a strong contender to win the trophy in Copenhagen. Nevertheless, “Undo” the entry that Sanna Nielsen will perform, will go through slight changes in order to please all Eurovision fans, especially the linguist ones!
Indeed, many people have underlined the fact that there was a grammar mistake in the song, and that this was not very professional from Sweden. The line” Undo my sad” seems to have raised much attention lately (even if most of us hadn’t even noticed the mistake).
In an interview to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the composer and author of the song Frederik Kempe has recognized the mistake and announced a change in the lyrics: “we have made trimmings and in connection with it, decided to use the words “undo my sad love” then we will take the edge of it… It is not a sad song really. It has been sad, but now I am happy and I am strong and I’m moving on”. You have to have the perfect ear to notice the change…
