Rybak faces Amber & Alyona in two countries!
OSLO, NORWAY – He broke the record in 2009, as he earned 387 points and it is very likely that not very soon it will be broken. Yes it is Alexander Rybak and he has a surprise lined up for the national selection of Belarus. Alexander has gathered a girl quintet and their song has already been recorded.
With them, he will try to bring the trophy to his homecountry. “Girls have already started to practice their choreography and the costumes that they will wear have Belarusian motives. As for the song it will be performed in English and also Belarusian. Girls will also play traditional Belarusian instrument of chastushka on stage.”
Alexander also said that he has only a few days to spend with girls, who along great, as his tour is starting, but he has team there, who will stay with the girls so everything is practiced to perfection.
In the meantime his song is bidding for next Saturday’s ticket to Vienna in the Maltese national selection. Ekklesia and Amber are the favours to win though while Franklin Calleja could be an interesting option for the island who just hosted a great Eurovision family event. But while oikotimes.com was in Malta, the name of Amber was tipped as the favourite there.
OK if he looses the Maltese selection he goes for Belarus with these girls. But, will Alyona Lanskaya leave him in peace? According to the KP.by website Alyona (who missed the 2012 Eurovision edition s disqualified entry and represented her country in 2013) is entering again the national selection. We know how workaholic Alyona is and her determination will surely make Rybak nervous in such a national selection, the interest of which will be huge if those two finally enter the line up.
