RAJKO DUMIC WANTS AN ESC COMEBACK
Rajko Dumić, who represented Yugoslavia in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the legendary Novi Fosili band has said he would like to represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Novi Fosili placed fourth in 1987 with the song “Ja sam za ples” (I wanna dance). In 1989 he composed the winning Eurovision entry “Rock me baby”. Rajko said that you should “never say never” when it comes to Eurovision.
Novi Fosili, formed in 1969, were one of the most popular acts throughout Yugoslavia. Even today, the group is extremely popular throughout the former Yugoslav republics. The group have performed several concerts together in the past few years, singing their old hits to sell out crowds in Croatia and Serbia.
