R.I.P. Tarmo Leinatamm (Estonia 2008)
TALLINN, ESTONIA – Tarmo Leinatamm, who represented Estonia in 2008, as part of Kreisiraadio, has passed away of cancer that he was struggling with some time. Beside being a singer, Mr Leinatamm was a famous entertainer and politician in Estonia. He was also the conducter for Estonia two times – in 1996. and 1997.

Estonia was suppose to debut in 1993, but as they didn’t pass the qualification round which took place in Slovenia, their first representative was Silvi Vrait with Nagu Merelaine next year. Until the introduction of the semis, Estonia finished in top ten almost every year, execpt on two occasions. They won in 2001, and finished third on homeground. Their first qualification came in 2009. with Urban Symphony’s Randajad. This year Tanja represented the country, finishing twelfth, thus not qualifing for the Grand Final, first time, in last four years.
