Norman Burdon (Canada)

It was a big time for me meeting the oikotimes.com guys and made me love the Eurovision Song Contest. I am intending to follow the Eurovision events the upcoming years and offer my services to the ultimate eurovision website!

The author of this article doesn’t get it, does he?
RTP states plain truth – many composers just didn’t care whether the songs were good or bad with respect to Eurovision standards – which is exactly how it should be, particularly having in mind that “bad with respect to Eurovision standards” doesn’t say anything of the actual quality of the song. If more broadcasters acted like RTP, stimulating diversity over cliché, we would certainly have a richer and more interesting contest. Obviously that wouldn’t be to everybody’s taste.
