Portugal 2015: who’s in and who’s out?
LISBON, PORTUGAL – Portugal’s national broadcaster RTP has announced it will select its 2015 Eurovision representative through Festival Da Cancao.
Three Portuguese singers have already expressed their interest to take part in the show. They include Filipe Delgado and Rui Drumond.
Felipe took part in the Portuguese selection in 2010 with the song “Serei eu” but missed out on a spot in the national final. He has said he would like to return to the show and “who knows maybe win Eurovision for my country”.
Rui Drumond represented Portugal in 2005 together with Luciana Abrey with the song “Amar” and finished 17th in the semi. Rui has said the door is open for her return to Eurovision but that would depend on the song.
On the other hand, Ricardo Soler already took part in the 2012 national selection with the song “Gratia Plena”. He has ruled out any possibility of taking part in Festival Da Cancao again.
