Paula Seling breaks Eurovision Book of Records
BUCHAREST, ROMANIA – Although Romania had a disappointing Eurovision, their female representative who performed alongside Ovi, marked a record that should be noted. Paula Sterling was able to hold a note for the longest time; 19.5 seconds, a new record according to the Eurovision Book of Records. The previous record had been held by Mary Spiteri who represented Malta in 1992 and had managed to hold a note for 13 seconds.
This record is the only bright note for romania who were unable to equal their number 3 position obtained in 2010 with the song “Playing with fire” and which remains their best result so far. Ovi and Paula were only able to obtain position number 12 with a total of 72 points. The record can be observed from 2:31 to 2:51 on the video viewed below.
