Pastora Soler gives up singing due to stage fright
MADRID, SPAIN – Pastora Soler, the Spanish 2012 Eurovision representative has officially retired from music, at least temporarily.The announcement was made via social media in what has been a very difficult year for the singer. In March she collapsed on stage during a performance at the Palace of Congress in Seville and lost consciousness.
Rumours have circulated about possible causes, from depression to pregnancy. However more serious reasons have been circulated, since this week when during a performance in Malaga, at the Cervantes Theatre, she left midway and did not return. Her husband claimed that she was currently very weak and would be unable to continue.
Mention has been made of stage fright, from Pastora Soler herself, stating that it has started to affect her vocal chords and that for this reason she will; for now, retire.
