OGAE Cyprus farewell party to John Karayiannis
PRESS RELEASE – OGAE Cyprus, the official fan club of Eurovision in Cyprus, is getting ready for the return of the country in the Eurovision Song Contest and last night held a farewell party to honour and wish this year’s representative John Karayiannis good luck for his journey to Vienna!
John and his team attended the party, along with members of the Cyprus delegation, members of OGAE Cyprus, journalists and people. Everybody had the opportunity to meet and talk with John and wish him all the best in the contest. John also sung an unplugged version of his song “One thing I should have done”, which was written by Mike Connaris.
On behalf of OGAE Cyprus, the president of the club, Andreas Zambas offered a good luck charm to John, a jewel in the shape of glasses, being the trademark of John and expressed the full support of OGAE Cyprus to John and the Cyprus delegation.
The party was held at Makou Food & Sea in Larnaca, a romantic and relaxing spot by the beach, surrounded by Eurovision music, the perfect warm-up for the fans just a few days before the upcoming contest.
Cyprus is competing in the second semifinal on Thursday 21 May 2015 and it was decided to perform 15th.
