IRELAND – Smashing success for Eurovision – The Ultimate Show which features Linda Martin (Winner 1992), Niamh Kavanagh (Winner 1993), Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan (Winners 1994) performing their Eurovision entries and other Eurosongs. It started on 16/9 at National Concert Hall and continues to Limerick ( University Concert Hall) on 27/9, Galway (The Town Hall Theatre) on 02/10 and on 11/10 in Cork (Cork Opera House).
ISRAEL – Nadav Guedj and Eleni Foureira are set to perform at live music night ‘Pop Up Music’ on Tuesday 4th December at a music event in Tel Aviv.
LITHUANIA – LRT kick-off national selection. Submissions forEurovisijos 2019 due on December 10th. Eurovisijos 2019 will take place on February 23rd. Only Lithuanian performers allowed but authors can be of any origin.
CZECH REPUBLIC – Optimistic at least for the country’s interest for Eurovision, is HoD, Jan Bors. He announced the public call for songs due on 31/10. There is no specific style or music genre required but the country seeks an international hit.
GERMANY – NDR has announced that 20 acts will be taking part in a National Selection Workshop, with 6 of the acts being revealed so far: BB Thomaz, Sebastian Schub, Nicole Cross, Dimi Rompos, Nina Kutschera and Daniel Schumacher.
BELARUS – Tickets for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 have gone on sale! A total of 22.000 tickets, priced from 6 to 12 rubles (2.50 – 5 euros) at various levels, are available to be purchased for both the jury show and the live final.
