ITALY – RAI confirmed that the winner of Sanremo Festival will be entitled to accept the ticket to Eurovision with a new song though. If the winner decline then RAI will decide which Sanremo Festival participant will go to Tel Aviv.
FINLAND – Eva + Manu have now dropped hint on both their Facebook and Instagram profiles as to what they might be up to in the coming Spring. This has sent Finnish fans into a frenzy of speculation.
IRELAND – Brendan Murray qualified to the UK X-Factor semi finals.
ISRAEL – HaKokhav HaBa L’Eirovizion, the show which will be choose the artist for Eurovision 2019 is kicking off this Saturday. The jury will be made of Harel Skaat, Karen Peles, Assaf Amdursky, Static & Ben El Tavori, Shiri Maimon.
GREECE – During her visit back in Greece, Kalomira appeared on OPEN TV (newly established commercial TV station in the country). OGAE Greece though reported a secret meeting with ERT regarding Eurovision, an information fully denied by her manager.
AZERBAIJAN – Azeri national broadcaster, Ictimai Televiziya (ITV) will opt for another year for an internal selection in order to determine its next Eurovision act for Tel Aviv. The Azeri broadcaster will be holding internal castings in order to decide the next Eurovision representative. The first casting is scheduled for November 20.
ITALY – Alesandra Drussian of Jalisse (Italy 1997) won the last episode of Tale e Quale Show (Your Face Sounds Familiar).
ISRAEL – Laila Lavan (White Nights) date has been moved to the Eurovision period. There will be 40 stages in the city of Tel Aviv each one dedicated to the participating countries.
IRELAND – Delegates at Fine Gael’s Ard Fheis this weekend were treated to a four-minute video of their best and brightest taking part in a ‘spin the wheel’ game where they faced questions on the Eurovision and whether pineapple on top of pizza is a good idea. Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy was the only member of Cabinet to know how many times Ireland won the Eurovision.
