November 11: The best of Malta & JESC 2014 in photos
VALLETTA, MALTA – Through this series of posts I wanna share with you the amazing country Malta is. A place with indescribable beauty a mix of European and oriental sentiment, a unit combination of amazing features and sight seeings. In this post I wanna talk about service and people of Malta.
The impression I got from the coffee shops in Malta is that they have amazing service. The people working there are all of the kind and trust me I have visited a lot. Right now, while writing this I am at Sliema’s Marks & Spencer and enjoying their own branded cola as you can see in the photo below. I was also impressed by Zara in Malta as they are very expensive. I recently bought a jacket in Athens from Zara at 79 Euros. I found the same jacket here 189 Euros!
Hanging out with Maltese is not different than hanging out with Greeks. They are hospitable, generous, funny and as long as you appreciate them (you don’t have to like them, just to respect them) they open their heart to you. The only problem I see so far from Maltese people is that their mentality prohibit them from trusting you. They are very persistent in what they do and they love show off, not out of narcissism but because they have worked their ass off when they claim they are proud for something.
TaxiBeat is an application in Greece which helps you find a good ride, honest fair and an educated driver. I think they have to apply this one in Malta as well. I was told to avoid the “white” taxis and trust only e-cap ones. The taxi problem is all over Europe, I know that first hand. I cannot help wondering though, why there is nothing done about it.
