November 11: get to know Krisia
MIRA DOBREVA FOR BNT.BG REPORTS – When she starts singing, people around are freezing. Her voice is miracolous, while she is just a little, beautiful girl which is living in Razgrad, goes on school and is playing with toys. Krisia’s talent was the particular reason that made Bulgarian National Television and bTV join forces and to send her representing Bulgaria at Junior Eurovision in Malta. Before she goes there, we will take a really close look at her.
We are heading to Razgrad. The town is known as “the town of flowers”. I don’t know how many flowers we will see there as the autumn is already coming, but for sure one flower is waiting for us. A one small and quite not blown flower, but ready to show the world its talent just like already did in whole Bulgaria.
I’m happy I will see the child, that everybody is talking about. And I’m asking myself how does it feel a girl at the age of 10, which has already felt the goodies of being populer. Does she realize that the job of an artist is glamorous and glorious only outside, while it’s actually bringing much of work, efforts, disappointments and sometimes pain. Does Krisia know that knowing her everywhere is actually big responsibility? Will her slight shoulders handle the pressure in the same way they are carrying her talent?
Krisia and her classmates told my with passion and honour some interesting facts about their school. It was created in the distant 1909 with the name “Razgrad men’s progymnasium”. In 1945 the name was changed to “Vasil Levski” – Bulgarian revolutionary and a national hero. The children are eager to show me all landmarks in Razgrad, and I’m eager to see them closer.
Now together with Krisia we are both heading to the clock tower. This is one the most-symbolic sites in Razgrad. The tower is made of stone, while the roof is supported by eight white columns. The steeple is more than 300 years old. There is another famous monument in Razgrad – the so called “Girls fountain”. A local story tells that everybody drinking water from it, will leave his/her heart forever in Razgrad.
When you visit Razgrad, you should visit a small neighbourhood called “Varosha”. There are many old houses, picturesque streets and you could feel the vibe ot the history. Namely “Varosha” is the place where Krisia lives and we are going to her home.
Krisia’s life is running wild between her trips to Sofia, participations at various events, interviews, rehearsals. However In her room she is finding some peace. There she is writing her own story – to sing in front big crowd, among good people, which are #together in their desire to live in better world. Krisia shows me her dresses, shoes and just like Winnie the Pooh her moto is – “The more – the merrier”.
It was great pleasure for me to talk with Krisia, but clock was ticking and it was time for Krisia’s vocal lesson. Her teacher Svilena Decheva was already waiting for us at the centre for developing children’s talent. Without showing any signs of fatigue after whole day of sightseeing and talking in front of camera, she started her rehearsal like she does every day. Even from the first notes she takes, we are amazed by her talent. The same way reacted her teacher whe she heard Krisia’s voice for the first time.
Hopefully Krisia will never experience how it feels when you fall from height. But the biggest glory is when you fall, to get up and keep it going. I’m hearing the miracolous voice of Krisia, I can see her stage prescence as well and I now understand how she realizes her talent. She knows that her abilites are something extraordinary, given by God and she should be humble and to follow her way while keep being good person.
