Norway 2015: 800 songs submitted to NRK
OSLO, NORWAY – NRK announced today they received 800 submissions for 2015 edition of Melodi Grand Prix, the show through which Norway decides upon its entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Submissions are 30% increased from 2013 and NRK is happy to see great interest for the national selection.
In terms of the submissions characteristics, NRK says that there is a big diversity in geography and genre and many submitted songs in Norwegian. Swedish and British authors also submitted songs this year.
NRK is ready to make a great national selection show, adopting to all the negative and positive criticism they received since last year’s edition, especially with the case of the record labels.
