MOLDOVA 2014: 61 SONGS SUBMITTED

CHISINAU, MOLDOVA – A total of 61 songs from 57 artists have applied to take part in the Moldovan national final for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. A select jury will listen to all the songs and pick the top 24 which will proceed to the semi final, to be broadcast on TV.
The 24 performances will be split into two semi finals (12 in each) with eight proceeding from each semi. A total of 16 acts will battle it out in the final. The two semis take place on March 11 and 13 with the grand final on March 15.
Moldova will compete in the second half of the first semi final in Copenhagen. Last year, its representative Aliona Moon finished 11th.
