The presenter of the Eurovision 2019 Festival Assi Azar recently announced that he donated all the salary received from the presentation of the contest to an LGBTI association. Israel Gay Youth, a non-governmental organization that helps young people in Israel, was the association chosen by the presenter to receive about 26,000 euros. “Presenting the Eurovision Festival for money was something I would never do. I did it for my soul and represent my country with the greatest respect,” said the presenter who is one of the greatest icons of the LGBT community in Israel.

The strategic director of the NBTC, the Dutch national tourism council, called for the Eurovision 2020 Festival to be held outside Amsterdam, pointing out Rotterdam, Arnhem and Maastricht as potential host cities for the international event: “Amsterdam was also presented as an interested party, but the capital is already in a daily struggle with the high number of visitors, “he said.
