May 14 / First Rehearsal Cyprus: magical artwork for John’s entry
Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)
Tom Dice John Karayiannis took the stage and rehearsed today at Wiener Stadthalle. One Thing I Should Have Done and with sparkling lights and smoky stage it is the best presentation Cyprus ever had from a host broadcaster (for me). Though the resemblance with Belgium 2010 is inevitable. John is dressed with a black suit and looks confident (actually more than happy) he is doing this! Where’s the stress Johnny?
He confessed that he hadn’t been to the gym for about two weeks, as he has been busy working on his rehearsals with Mike Connaris on his song One Thing I Should Have Done. (source: eurovision.tv)
John Karayiannis is 20 and comes from Limassol in Cyprus. In September John will be moving to London to continue his music studies and record his first album. When John was a kid he’d listen to Eminem & Linkin Park, and even Metallica, but his interest in singing began when he started listening to more melodic songs. His first TV appearance came at the age of 13, when he participated in the Cypriot national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest… which was a great experience for him.
