MAY 06: DINA SINGS DEFINITELY BETTER THAN HER’SAY / VIDEO
Dina Garipova only 20 years old is representing Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “What If”, a controversy tune which is allegedly accused for pure plagiarism of various songs already released and popular on YouTube. Nevertheless Russia is bidding high in the polls and bets and many say that if the votes spread then St Petersburg 2014 could be an option. You can read more about the scandal here.
WHAT WE LIKED
Despite her weight Dina manages to amaze everyone with her vocal performance, the only original thing in the Russian entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
WHAT WE DISLIKED
We dislike the fact that the song is a copycat of Her’say song already released in 2007 and we dislike the fact that most media and official organizers ignored the information provided online from various forum sites and webpages. We dislike the way Russia bids to win again and we hope not to win. It’s of course obvious that mama Russia will proceed to the final. After all can you imagine millions of Russians not watching the final on May 18th? It’s not in no one’s best interest.
