COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – The team of is in Copenhagen and through our guidance via Wonderful Copenhagen we present you today on the of most famous attractions in Copenhagen, The Little Mermaid, known for the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about the mermaid who gives up everything to be united with a young prince on land.

The sculpture was a gift by Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to the City of Copenhagen who fell in love with the character and it was unveiled on 23 August 1913. In 2010 The Little Mermaid was sent to the Danish pavilion at Expo in Shanghai for 8 months but now the sculpture is back on her place to welcome people to Copenhagen Harbour.
