In an interview to Yedioth Ahronoth Kobi Marimi has responded to the divided reviews about his entry “Home”. “Maybe a few years ago I could not cope with such harsh reactions,” Marimi says, “but I came to the program at the age of 27 and went through a mental process to deal with such reactions. I do not want to prove something to someone who writes against me, I prefer to focus on music and what is going to happen on stage.”
Netta Barzilai gives support to Kobi Marimi: “In the past week I have noticed a wave of abnormal evil around Kobi Marimi’s song. I remember that when Toy came out, there was a similar wave of evil that quickly changed in support. I am here to tell you that without the support and backing of everyone here in Israel I would not have reached the point where I am now.”
Choreographer Leo Mujić, creator of the ballet “Gospoda Glembajevi” will be working on the Eurovision choreography for the Croatian entrant Roko, reports Jutarni List.

Swedish performers Adam Svensson, Jennie Jahns, Erik Segerstedt and Simon Lingmerth started rehearsals for Sergey Lazarev’s stage presentation for Eurovision 2019. Adam and Jennie have already performed with Sergey at Eurovision 2016.
Posting on Facebook, Srbuk has celebrated the music video for her song “Walking Out” reaching 1 million views since it was released. Srbuk congratulated her fans for their support but also explained her surprise at then receiving a further 1.5 million views an hour after hitting 1 million views.
It has been revealed that Dutch representative Duncan Laurence will hold a small, intimate concert in Amsterdam just days before he sets off for Tel Aviv. Duncan is due to perform a farewell concert in Het Zonnehuis, a theatre in Amsterdam, on May 1st. The concert is expected to be special show just for Duncan and his fans. Duncan has revealed how happy and excited he is about his first ever concert on his official Instagram.
The Director General of the national broadcaster of Andorra has stated that it would be willing to co-operate with the Catalan broadcaster on participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. In the meantime The European Broadcasting Union has confirmed that it would consider Catalonia’s participation in Eurovision Choir of the Year 2019.
Tent camp is cancelled. The Tel Aviv Municipality stated the following: “The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa is working hard to create an extraordinary experience for the tourists who will arrive in Tel Aviv for Eurovision. Unfortunately, the tent city initiative did not succeed because of the lack of responses to the tender. We are now working on other solutions which will make it easier for tourists to enjoy the activities and events the city will be offering.”
