1.297 million viewers tuned in last Saturday to watch the Grand Final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019. The show which was the most watched television program broadcast in Denmark last week, was only 10,000 viewers ahead of TV2’s latest episode of Badehotellet. The number of viewers who tuned in to the program last week was down 86,000 viewers over the 2018 show. This represents fifth straight year that the number of viewers watching the Danish selection show for Eurovision has fallen year on year.

The official music video for “On a Sunday” will be released on March 10, as Cat Music releases teaser video for the song.

Szczecin has confirmed that it is bidding to host the 2019 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland. A spokesperson for the Szczecińskiej Agencji Artystycznej confirmed to the Polish press that the city of Szczecin is bidding to host Junior Eurovision 2019. The spokesperson commented: “I confirm that our city has submitted the application and expressed interest in organising the finals of Eurovision Junior. At the moment, that’s all I can say. Decisions are to be made this week.”
The final version of “La venda” will be released on March 7 alongside the official music video for the Spanish entry. Following his victory in January, it was confirmed that both melodic and vocal adjustments changes would take place to the song.

In keeping with the empowering message of “Proud”, the reveal of the North Macedonian entry for Tel Aviv has been moved to International Women’s Day on March 8. The song had been due to be revealed tomorrow by MKRTV, before the decision was taken to move the reveal to a more fitting date.
It has been announced that Azerbaijani broadcaster iTV will announce their Eurovision entrant and entry will be announced this Tuesday, 5th March. Azerbaijan joins Cyprus in releasing their entry on Tuesday this week and we finally know what will follow in the footsteps of “X My Heart”!
Over 600,000 viewers watched last weekend as Jurijus was selected as the Lithuanian entrant for Eurovision 2019. The show was seen by 23% of the viewing public, with a rating of 13.4%. Interest in the show has grown year on year with the rating up 2.7 points. An additional 15,000 viewers were watching the show on the LRT website.
