Måns performs in China, Greek finalists for internal selection, ZAA’s NYE performance and the Johnny Logan question
GREECE – In Greece the things seem to clear up as there seems to be two to three finalists to ERT offices for representing the country in Eurovision 2017. It seems that the names of Kalomira, Apostles Psichramis and Giorgina Karachaliou are out with Demy and Stereo Soul to be the finalists. Though there seems to be a third female artist who could surprise us all (mostly negatively).
SERBIA – You can see photos from Sanja Vucic’s New Years Eve live concert in Kruševac, Serbia. The 2016 Serbian representative and her band ZAA where thrilled for the event and thanked on social media the fans attending.
IRELAND – Louis Walsh has admitted he would love Johnny Logan to pen our Eurovision song this year. Walsh is managing Ireland’s entrant Brendan Murray and is confident that past winner Logan has what it takes to recapture some of our past glory in the iconic contest. The Mayo man said: “I would love if Johnny Logan would write a song for us, that would be great. “He knows the formula and what works – there’s nobody out there better than him who knows how to win. “If he doesn’t, I will get one from England from a great songwriter, I’m confident about that. “RTE needs us to qualify this year because they have sent the wrong people in the past. “You have to send a great song and a great singer. Every other country in Europe sends their best singer and their best artist and takes it seriously. “There’s a global audience now and you can’t get away with sending a half-arsed entry. “It’s not rocket science – if you can get a song with a great hook, it can work. “Jedward came eighth and if they can do it, anyone can.”
