There seems to be interesting news from Malta regarding the Junior Eurovision 2013. Malta entered the contest in 2003 but forced to leave in 2010 due to budget limitations.

Multiple Sources close to have confirmed that there have been a number of conversations and discussions with regards to a possible return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the simple reason that the younger generation of artists are lacking major opportunities to present themselves to a European audience.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest is not the competition it used to be with support fluctuating due to the economic crisis but nevertheless eight countries including; Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine are still participating.

The European Broadcasting Union is currently negotiating with a number of countries, hopefully to reach a minimum threshold. Malta’s return into the competition would surely create a number of opportunities for the young stars.

we are awaiting for EBU to give us a comment on the information
