Malta 2018 🇲🇹 Christabelle impressed with mental health research at University

TVM.COM.MT REPORTS / MALTA – Singer Christabelle, who will represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest, today had the opportunity to observe the work carried out on mental disease research while visiting the Physiology and Biochemistry department at the University of Malta.
Seeking to raise awareness on mental health following her success with the song Taboo, Christabelle was invited by the Malta Neuroscience Network Programme to act as its ambassador with the aim of increasing funds for the research in this sector.
At the University, Christabelle met with Professor Giuseppe Di Giovanni, who explained the work currently going on aimed at discovering treatments for various types of mental health disorders. Among others, Christabelle observed a study on epilepsy which is being carried out in vitro in brain slices.
