MAD VMA 2015: why the show wasn’t cancelled
Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)
ATHENS, GREECE – The 2015 edition of MAD VMA had some criticism for taking place last night while the country is under complete collapse and upcoming default. There were more than 10,000 people in the Tae Kwon Do arena and as some artists like Despina Vandi and Eleni Foureira said: the show must go on and we should use music to unify us all during these difficult times. It is also clear that if the show was cancelled the financial catastrophe for MAD TV and it’s employees would be unprecedented and would have lead to serious problems for the normal broadcast of the commercial TV station.
