WARSAW, POLAND – Welcome to the Polish national final where 9 strong acts will give a big battle for the national representation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The show is aired live through the stream below. The nine acts selected out of 88 submitted entries.

WATCH THE SHOW ONLINE AT 21:25 CET

With not a good streaming the show begins and Monika, last year’s representative performed on stage. The host is now explaining the procedure of the contest. The oikotimes.com poll predict Margaret to win with a strong, though, Edyta Gorniak following right behind. I also picked up this info from www.eurovision.tv regarding the voting which is indeed a great and fair thing for Poland: The winner in tonight’s Polish final will be chosen by solely televoting. So it is up to Polish viewers only who they want to send to Stockholm. Only one vote for every act is allowed from every telephone number. The TV viewers will be able to vote only for that act that is performing on stage at that moment. The voting results will be announced by Monika Kuszyńska, the Polish representative in Vienna last year.

  • Taraka – In the Rain
  • : This is the first time I am listening to the Polish song, a personal decision of mine in order to have a clear view on my review in order to get as neutral and fair as possible. Somehow this first entry is not bad for my ears as it combines somehow the rock and ethnic elements with a great vocal performance by the lead singer. oh oh oh is a nice gimmick and I wouldn’t mind seeing it in Eurovision.

  • NAPOLI – My Universe
  • : The band who didn’t make it to the Belarusian national final got their song to Poland. Lead anger is wearing everything available on her. The song seems to be a bit problematic. I don’t this the verse and the chorus are well connected. Vocally the performance is not bad. I hardly see this winning.

  • Natalia Szroeder – Lustra
  • : an amazing fresh and gorgeous girl on stage performing with an amazing voice. Natalia is smashing my ears with perfect vocal performance and I love her simple outfit. he tune is quite catchy and definitely makes me dance while I am writing this review. Definitely a dark horse tonight!

  • Dorota Osińska – Universal
  • : Dorota is looking great in her red dress and she accompanied by backing vocalists. Now this song is a very good tune and if it was back in the 90s or 00s, I would suggest it as a big favourite but it seems it cannot convince the 2016 audience on TV to get the votes it truly deserves. The performance is amazing and almost flawless.

  • Kasia Moś – Addiction
  • : Electro pop song for Kasia and an outfit which tries to show her set but it’s kitsch, sorry. While the vocal performance is almost perfect, I thing the tune is quite electronically confusing for the audience and it can hardly be understood by the TV audience during a live show like Eurovision. This song could easily be a radio hit but that’s it. Not seeing it winning tonight. The lyrics are though are interesting.

  • Ola Gintrowska – Missing
  • : Seriously, this song is in the national final? I am sorry but the performance with the winged dress and the vocals are the worst I have heard tonight.

  • Michał Szpak – Color of Your Life
  • : Michał is one of the outsiders for the win tonight. Excellent vocal performance and although some don’t agree with the styling, the song, the singer and the mood created on stage are simply amazing. Great job by Michał and I would not mind see it in Stockholm. It’s unique. Excellent performance, well done!

  • Margaret – Cool Me Down
  • : I think I am seeing the Polish Rihanna on sage and somehow (wait bitches I am not accusing of something) it sounds a bit like David Guetta’ “Hey Mama”. Nothing special by the stage presentation but the vocal performance is quite interesting and Margaret justifies the title of hot favourite by the polls on the web. The audience shout out for her and we might see her winning. Although she didn’t deliver the last part perfectly (she sounded exhausted) she gave an amazing ending.

  • Edyta Górniak – Grateful
  • : huge applause for miss Eurovision 1994. I personally believe that back then she had to win but maybe she will do it this year. Simply outstanding! Edyta is a goddess and we all love her. Dramatic, melacholic but also optimistic ballad which delivered in an excellent way. Vocally there is no doubt this woman is a PERFORMER. Cannot praise it more, it’s perfect.

so that’s it folks, more will take place in the show but here at oikotimes.com the live review is over. we will be back with the results and the winner’s announcement in a new post. thank you for reading my comments whether you agree or not. would be more than happy to see your comments below and discuss the show and the participants.
