BELGRADE, SERBIA – The time has come. Tonight is the first night of Serbian national final. Even though the songs won’t be presented tonight, wider audience will have another chance to meet the three candidates – Bojana Stamenov, Danica Krstić and Aleksa Jelić and their amazing voices. They all will perform tonight, there are some surprises lined up, so stay tuned.
The show has started with Conchita.’s winnig performance from Copenhagen. We are welcomed and our hostess is a bit explaining how the show will go tonight and tomorrow. She also thanked Marija Šerifović for bringing the Eurovision to Serbia. A video of 2007 voting is on showing how delegation was celebrating in the green room.
Vladimir Grajić Graja is on stage and he talked how every winner in past years put a new, higher standard.
It’s time to present the first candidate, youngest one – Danica Krstić, who is from town of Kragujevac. Marija Serifović and Jelena Tomašević are also from there. Will she be the third person from that town representing Serbia at Eurovision? We’ll see tomorrow. Now she’s on stage singing Helena Paparizou’s winnig entry You’re My Number One. You can see her lovely green dress on our instagram profile, but she also had a big crown on her head.
Now Aleksa Jelić is on stage. He finished second seven years ago on Beovizija, just behind Jelena Tomašević. He is not just a singer, he is a professional dancer, so there is no doubt that he has prepared amazing performance for tomorrow. Aleksa is singing Željko Joksimović’s Nije Ljubav Stvar.
Third up on stage is Bojana Stamenov who shot her glory in Got Talent show. Check out her performance on our instagram.
And after a small commercial brake we’re back in studio. There are talks about how the song should sound like, in what language, pros and cons about it. Danica is back on stage to sing Jelena Tomašević’s Jutro. Jelena finished second at Serbia and Montenegro’s national final in 2005. Everybody said that this is such a beautiful song and that it’s a shame that it didn’t win.
Aleksa is now on stage performing a winning Eurovision entry.
Bojana also again performed and she was all about the bass. Danica and Aleksa joined her on stage and they all danced together. Now Graja is saying that while he was making the songs he was looking that the song fits to their personalities. Bojana said that she is so excited as it will be her first time performing in Serbian. Aleksa is happy because his song is so live just like him and a special dance is lined up. Danica is proud as she in words has really pushed the boundaries singing it. Now as the show is finishing only one more thing has to be done – the draw.
Aleksa will perform first and his song is called Vodi me (Lead me)
Danica is performing second with Suze za kraj (Tears for the end)
And Bojana will perform third with Ceo svet je moj (Whole world is mine)
At the end all three of them are performing Princeza (Princess). A song that participated in Yugovision, national final of former Yugoslavia that is still a huge hit.
