LIVE: ESTONIA DECIDES 2014
TALLINN, ESTONIA – Ten acts compete tonight in the Estonian national final for the Estonian ticket to Copenhagen’s Eurovision Song Contest. Of course you can follow the show here. The jury for tonight is different than the one of the semifinals: Maarja, Rolf Roosalu, Getter Jaani, Ott Lepland and Siiri Sisak.
01. Brigita Murutar – Laule täis taevakaar
Well the song is OK, the singer delivers the song OK but she is 17 years old and she is dressed up like 50. This one is a descent entry but really cannot see high hopes for Estonia with that one in Copenhagen.
02. Traffic – Für Elise
One strong entry here. Not that it’s the song that you will love but for sure the performers are loving it and they show that to us during their performance. Interesting!
03. Norman Salumäe – Search
Nice ballad, static performance and excellent high notes. So far this is my favourite from this wonderful and handsome Estonian artist.
04. Wilhelm – Resignal
An ethnic song which I like. The vocals are flawless and the tune is interesting if you are a typical Eurofan who love the Eurovision 90s.
05. Lenna – Supernoova
Casual outfit and a rock ballad for Lena. Lena defends the song properly and the vocals are quite strong to support her performance. Something is missing though to make it the winner tonight.
06. Super Hot Cosmos Blues Band – Maybe Maybe
Strong performance and interesting song but definitely not a tune that Eurovision audience might endorse and vote for. Though the vocals are excellent and can surprise us in the very end.
07. Maiken – Siin või sealpool maad
Another interesting song that gets weak every now and then. There is definitely a problem with the music structure of this tune and I am afraid I cannot see appealing the viewers to vote for it.
08. Kõrsikud – Tule ja jää
A very interesting Nostalgic folk-pop, well delivered and might appeal the Estonians tonight (the jury for sure) and can impress the Eurovision fans as well. With such a song Estonia can easily go the final although it is not a winner song (when it comes to Eurovision Song Contest of course).
09. Tanja – Amazing
One of my favourite tonight. Tanja performed well delivers the song and the vocals. Superb performance and stage presentation.
10. Sandra Nurmsalu – Kui tuuled pöörduvad
The ultimate favourite amongst the Eurofans and personal favourite as well. The song is great and with many potentials in its semifinal in Copenhagen. Hope it wins!
