Listen: Jessy Matador – Zuluminati
PARIS, FRANCE – We all remember the 2010 French entrant, Jessy Matador, and his booty shaking entry “Allez, Ola, Olé” that set fire to the Telenor Arena in Oslo.
Since then, Jessy has kept working on his career, and even though we cannot consider him as a star in France (despite his three albums and numerous singles), he comes back to our memory from time to time with new irresistible tracks.
Lately, the dynamic artist appeared on French TV in some cheap real TV show called “L’Île des Vérités” (maybe not the best idea he has had…) but he has also released his new song “Zuluminati”. No surprise there, it’s a typical Jessy “Zumba” Matador son, but let’s tell the truth, it’s soooo addictive.
DID YOU KNOW?
After sending classy Patricia Kaas to Moscow in 2009, French broadcaster surprised everyone in 2010 with its choice: Jessy Matador. The French singer, of Congolese descent, was chosen with two goals in mind: shine on Eurovision stage, and provide the French football team with a great anthem for the World Cup. None of these goals were reached. Even though Jessy did make a great impression in Oslo, he only finished 12th on the scoreboard (but remember that’s a good finishing for France…) and “Allez, Ola, Olé” did bring bad luck to the natonal team (their worst World Cup appearance in decades!).
