LET YOUROVISION 2012: PHOTO & VIDEO MEMORIES
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – Back in April 2012 the team of oikotimes.com attended the promo tour gig in Brussels where Belgium, Switzerland, Moldova, Belarus, Greece and Romania attended a two day event of promotion. Everything started with the tour of the city where we all visited various spots of the Belgian capital as the Manneken-Pis.
Then the delegations went to the Le You club and performed in front of a huge audience receiving warm applause each and everyone (bigger applause was for Romania by the way). It was the time when oikotimes.com celebrated its 11th online anniversary with the delegations and of course with our Belgian friends Olivier and Douwe.
The spotlight of the evening was the Litesound mom, watching her boys not … messing around, although lots of rumours were spread that weekend!!! Of course it was amazing pleasure to have a drink and a huge hug by my Belarusian Queen Anastasiya Tichanovich whom I will personally send to Eurovision very soon.
It was also thanks to JP from Radio International when most interviews and birthday greetings took place and we had amazing time seen Juergen Boerning once again!
Then we headed to the Fish market where a huge concert took place for all delegations although it was meant to be for the Romanian and Moldovan one to celebrate their national days. The crowd in the main square was hugely applauding the participants and every one was perfectly satisfied.
We also went to the meet and greet session of Iris’ debut album and she also performed the happy birthday song for oikotimes.com. Iris represent Belgium with a mediocre song but personally she is an amazing person. We also learned from her mother that she almost lost her during her pregnancy.
The oikotimes.com had the exclusive photo pot the event: Eleftheria Eleftheriou and Belgian Prime Minister Elio di Rupo met at Le You and had a photo, which only oikotimes.com made and owns!
The 2012 Brussels venture was a kind offer of the Greek national broadcaster and of course we attended the Greek diaspora event at a local Greek restaurant (by the way Brussels is full of Greek restaurants – good thing for me). That restaurant really amazed me with the quality and the quantity of food reminding me of how Greeks do it! Eleftheria amazed the guests and performed a-cappella various Greek songs with a surprisingly excellent vocals!
