JESC 2015: where do you want the event to take place?
Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)
EDITORIAL – The 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest edition will take place (as everything points out) and EBU is searching for a host city. They say there are two bids for hosting the event.
One is Sofia, capital of Bulgaria and the second one is Malta, the 2014 Junior Eurovision host country. It’s gonna be November so we ask you to vote in the simple poll: Sofia, Malta or another city?
With the winner country skipping hosting, although proposed by EBU following the trend of Ukraine and Malta in the recent years, there are big concerns on who’s gonna spend millions of Euros for a show that only (approx.) 3 million people are watching (source: AIR MALTA brochure).
One other big question is who’s gonna make a great show, especially after the high standards PBS and Maltese hosting created this year? Between us we all wonder: will it be best to be in snowed Sofia or in an almost sun shined Malta?
EBU said that by the end of January we will know the host country. In the meantime you have a say by answering in the poll below.
