JESC 2015: Rome refuses hosting; Sofia gets ready!
Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)
SOFIA, BULGARIA – Italian national broadcaster seems to do everything they can to avoid hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as they don’t want to waste any money on it (and fairly we must say). Now the EBU is somehow “forcing” Bulgaria to take over as it’s the only country that actually made tV ratings for the show and they are somehow interested as Krisia brought them the 2nd place in Malta’s JESC edition.
Although Bulgaria didn’t have money to enter the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, there seems to have money for hosting an international event. This is what Krisia’s father said to local press Petel.bg. He claims Vyara Antova, the general director of BNT, told him so. It will be the first Eurovision Family event in Sofia (and Bulgaria in general) and will be interesting as November in Sofia is not the best trip someone might want to do!
