JESC 2015: is it Italy or Bulgaria for hosting?
Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)
SOFIA, BULGARIA – Bulgarian national broadcaster is standing by for the decision of the Italian national broadcaster whether they will host the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, something which is expected to happen by the end of this week acceding to BNT. If not Bulgaria is standing by to bid for hosting as they ranked 2nd.
In the meantime, after one month from Junior Eurovision 2014 and despite the plans to publish split results, EBU’s Junior Eurovision team is silent over this failing once again to present split results. Their official reason so far was they don’t want to add more pressure to children who participated and had to experience the aftermath of their result.
We cannot help it but wonder: was there enough tele voting to make a split voting? Were juries the only votes used in most countries? Will EBU finally go public with the international TV ratings of the event? Will these figures that might give a clear view about the contest, be finally public and not kept as top secret?
