JESC 2014: IRELAND’S INDEED INERESTED
DUBLIN, IRELAND – Few weeks ago EBU’s Vladislav Yakovlev hinted that amongst those interested in participating in Junior Eurovision 2014 was Ireland. Immediately though RTE denied any interest in participating in the contest although in 2003 (the very first edition) the country was very close to submit an entry.
Today it is revealed that TG4, an active member broadcaster within the European Broadcasting Union, is interested in participating if the national broadcaster is not going to. Deputy CEO of TG4, Pádhraic Ó Ciardha though hinted that although initially interest expressed, they are not sure if they indeed going to participate next year.
