BELGRADE, SERBIA – Today, a press conference was held in the hall of RTS, to make best wishes to Emilija Djonin, as she and the Serbian delegation are departing to Malta this weekend. Our dear friend Tanja Sikic welcomed the press and guests and then Dragan Ilic, head of Serbian delegation, took the stage.
He stated that he and the team are thrilled that Serbia is back to Junior Eurovision after three years of absence. Also Nevena Bozovic and Sonja Skoric, Serbian representatives from 2007 and 2010, who both achieved third place, wished all the best to Emilija and sang parts of their songs.
Duska Vucinic, PR of RTS, said that Emilija was chosen to represent Serbia because with her voice and talent has already proved her potential and qualities. Of course Emilija was there also and she was very happy and honored that she has the opportunity to represent her country at a prestigious contest as Junior Eurovision is.

Serbia debuted at Junior Eurovision Song Contest eight years ago in Bucharest with Neustrasivi ucitelji stranih jezika, finishing fifth. Already next year came the best result, thanks to Nevena Bozovic and her song Pisi mi. Nevena is also the JESC participant who came to senior Eurovision to represent her country. In 2010, Sonja Skoric represent Serbia in Minsk with Carobna noc, coming third in the end and repeating Nevena’s score. Serbia is coming back this year at JESC, after a three year break.
