TBILISI, GEORGIA – Today, November 16th, a concert was held in the Georgian capital city to support the country’s entrants to this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, The Smile Shop.
The open-air show, organized by Wissol Group and Wendy’s (the American restaurant company), took place on Rustaveli Avenue at 2:00 pm. On stage, the audience had the opportunity to see The Smile Shop, as well as almost all former Georgian representatives: Mari Romelashvili (4th in Rotterdam 2007), Bzikebi (winners in Limassol 2008), Candy (winners in Erevan 2011) and The FunKids (2nd in Amsterdam 2012). A nice way to remember that Georgia is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision with two victories so far and a great placing on the scoreboard on every single occasion since 2007.
Next Saturday, the Georgian delegation will arrive in Kyiv to get ready for the big event. Prior to Junior Eurovision, the band will also take part to the 9th Georgian Modern Film festival in Kyiv (23rd-27th November). On this occasion, they will perform their entry “Give Me Your Smile”.
A week later, on November 30th, The Smile Shop will enter Ukraina Palace’s stage to hopefully make their homeland smile with a third victory. წარმატებებს გისურვებთ საქართველოში!
